WHERE DOES THE ERIC BOMPARD CASHMERE COME FROM?

Maison Bompard is mindful of the major issues relating to cashmere and, more generally, to the textile industry, and is committed to becoming one of the key stakeholders in eco-responsible fashion.

Cashmere is found in many countries across the world, but Mongolia has the highest quality – and it is mainly in Inner Mongolia that we collect it. Why so?  Quite simply because the goats are raised there in ideal climatic conditions that match the environment in their homeland, and because it guarantees an unrivalled quality of the fibers and their fleece. At Eric Bompard, only the best cashmere fibers are used to weave and knit your favorite designs.

Maison Eric Bompard has stood out for more than 30 years with its high quality standards. we have decided to create the Bompard Cashmere Standard by 2020. Because it is the cornerstone of our company and also of your satisfaction.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR ERIC BOMPARD CASHMERE?

As surprising as it may seem (as accustomed as we are to not washing wool too often), cashmere loves water. The pilling that appears is very often a sign that the cashmere needs water or a sign of repeated friction, as well as a natural excess of material. That is why we recommend washing your cashmere sweater after wearing it 2 or 3 times to keep it soft and supple.

You can either hand-wash or machine-wash your cashmere, using a cold setting with a dose of a special wool washing liquid and without fabric softener. If you choose to machine-wash it, use a wool setting and slow dry it (max. 500 revs.). For a hand-wash, follow the same instructions as for the machine-wash and knead the pullover for a few minutes without twisting it.

Remember to dry the pullover flat in a dark place and use a soft iron. know that you can remove excess material with a cashmere comb.
