Kraken X Eric Bompard
A NEW ARTISTIC CAPSULE COLLECTION
As part of its programme to support young artistic creation, this season, Eric Bompard has signed an artistic collaboration with the young and talented painter and designer Kraken, known for his paintings of giant octopuses deployed on the walls of major capitals.
Composed of four signature products, produced in limited series numbered and signed as original works of art, these creations are tributes to the creative spirit of the founder and the know-how of the House, as well as to its founding values.
Eric Bompard encourages young artistic creation
The roots of Eric Bompard’s history find a contemporary reinterpretation this year in the design of surprising, unexpected patterns signed by Kraken. His designs elevate the precious Eric Bompard cashmere.
Last year it was a French painter gaining popularity internationally , Olivier Masmonteil, who was selected by Eric Bompard, as part of its approach to encourage young French creation and collaborate with local artists to accompany them in their development.
“We worked with Carolyn Randolfi, the Art Director, and her team to find the right pattern, the right colour, the right technique, so it’s a real collaboration between the brand and me.”
KRAKEN
The interpretation of a legacy
Two giant Kraken octopuses have spread all over Paris, but have also colonised Berlin, Lisbon and Oran. Painted with a brush rather than a spray can, they seduced Eric Bompard for their ability to undergo metamorphosis and deploy their tentacles on all surfaces, and their intelligence.
