ATELIER BOMPARD, THE CAPSULE COLLECTION MADE IN FRANCE

ATELIER BOMPARD, THE CAPSULE COLLECTION
MADE IN FRANCE

Eric Bompard has been a leading expert in sustainable cashmere for nearly 40 years. The Maison controls the entire production chain, from the fibre to the design, including the knitted product, with a consistently exceptional quality.
Its unique position on the market ensures total product traceability and allows Eric Bompard to become a protagonist of relocation in France.

Eric Bompard is committed to Made in France

Since 1985, Bompard pullovers have been conceived and designed in France by a design studio and team based in Paris. Under the artistic vision of the Creative Director, Carolyn Randolfi, the Maison, a leading expert in sustainable cashmere, has created the “Atelier Bompard” collection, designed and made in France in 100% cashmere, which includes five items available in four colours: Avoine, Vicuna, Bleu Ecosse and Noir.

Made in France is now

It took several months for Eric Bompard’s teams to find the right partner in France, who was capable of weaving cashmere in a way that met the production specifications of the Maison. In recent years, much of this know-how and many machines required for production have disappeared. Cashmere is a rare and noble material, whose treatment requires a very particular approach.

"I am particularly proud of this 100% Made in France collection. We have been working on this relocation process in France for a long time. There are three main points that motivate this project. First of all, it is a request from our customers and our teams, so we try to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, and it is also because, as a French company, we consider that it is our duty to support the reindustrialisation of our country."

The raw material is collected and processed directly at its original place of production. Since its creation in 1985, Eric Bompard has been a partner of the network of breeders and weaving mills, which allows for complete traceability of the material. The local production contributes to the preservation of the breeders’ way of life and to support the local industry.

Aware of the major issues related to the cashmere production process and, more generally, to the effects induced by the textile industry, Eric Bompard is committed to a “slow fashion” approach. Its ambition is to be one of the decisive protagonists of eco-responsible knitwear. Discover our certifications.
